The Intravenous Administration (IV) program aims to provide the knowledge and skills necessary for the practice of IV fluid administration and IV fluid therapy management across different age groups, including newborns, children, adults, and the elderly. It covers the knowledge of different types of cannula for prescribed therapy and identifying equipment used for the delivery of intravenous therapy, including IV tubing and electronic infusion pump or flow control device.
